Our Defence Community

Behind every ADF member there is an even stronger family who stands with them, supports them, and loves them with all their heart.

Australian Defence Force Members, Families, and our Community

Two of the most important social structures in each person's everyday life growth are the Australian community and our ADF family. Together they shape who we are, and fill us with values, determine what we perceive to be normal and challenged and teach us about what is doable together.

Our Defence Community page contains resource ideas to encourage families to grow in religion and to cultivate their family spirituality. Our goal is to assist parents and single individuals in enhancing their family life and recognising God's presence in their day-to-day activities while offering additional resources for support related to life in the Australian Defence Force.

You can phone Lifeline to speak to a Crisis Supporter on 13 11 14, text 0477 131 114 or chat to Lifeline online at www.lifeline.org.au (all services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

“The family is important, and it is necessary for the survival of humanity. Without the family, the cultural survival of the human race would be at risk. The family, whether we like it or not, is the foundation.
Pope Francis, Radio Interview, Brazil, July 27th, 2013
