3 Brigades New Installation

With their most recent installation at 3CSSB on base in Townsville, Queensland, the leadership of three battalions' low-key efforts has paid off.

A few kind soldiers and one of our chaplains, Joe Moloney, made use of their personal time and after-hours work to relocate the flagpole and memorial stone over a few years.

"It was wonderful to see it finished yesterday and put to use for the first time because we have been involved in the planning of the new memorial and the relocation of the flag station for the past three years", said Joe.

The memorial stone and new flag station at 3 CSSB were blessed prior to the Remembrance Day service.

Remembrance Day – at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month

In remembrance of the bravery, selflessness, and service of all those who have served our nation, as well as the families who have supported them, Townsville's 3 Brigade, like many other Australian Defence bases, observed a minute of silence yesterday. Their legacy serves as a reminder of why, should the trumpet sound once more, we are prepared to defend Australia.

Lest we forget.
